Ch. Edward the Tank Engine is my Retired Delta Certified Therapy Dog. Previously listening to kids read at schools to help them with fluency.
My Mission is to be a helpful trainer to better the dog's and owners in our community. Hoping to create a positive atmosphere while dogs are out in public so they are welcomed by all.
Lucy was a 4-6 yr. old miniture Poodle who took my class after being adopted by a committed owner. His Love and dedication proved to me that old dogs CAN learn new tricks. when she first came to class she did not allow petting from strangers and would cower if you tried. After several weeks she started to come around, and before we knew it I was allowed to give treats, and even petting. The next session she was doing the jumps, and loving it. She also started jumping up on me for attention. Always a star student as well. She is one I will always remember fondly.
Now Offering Pet Sitting.
In Your Home
My first dog, and one of the easiest to train was Chelsea, a beautiful, sweet, Golden Retriever. She loved to please me, and learned obedience easily. She was so fun to train. She was quickly doing advanced obedience, and hand signals." Find it" was her favorite game, finding 47 tennis balls in a competion once, she was a lot of fun!
Then I had a rescue German Shepard, she was very smart, and protective.
A pug who was smart, but a little stubborn." Sweet Lilly"
A rescued Husky, another shepard, our first Mastiff mix, also a rescue. He was hard to teach to "Come" because he was always in trouble with his previous owners. He chased the neighbor horses, so when he came home he got yelled at, and then tied up. That took consistant positive reinforcement to teach him he could "Come" and get treats, and praise. He was a good boy.
Then my show dogs, and therapy dogs.
English Mastiffs, and English Bulldogs are what I show now, but if I had more room I would enjoy more breeds.
It is my passion to work with dogs, and I get to do what I love. I am so lucky, and hope to get to work with you and your dogs soon.
